Cash lost in flight, complains Roja

Coimbatore: Actress Roja, on Wednesday, alleged that Rs 2.60 lakh in cash, which she was carrying in her luggage, had gone missing in the plane on her flight from Chennai to Coimbatore.
Roja reached here around 8.30 pm on Tuesday by a direct flight from Chennai en route to Kerala. Soon after reaching the Coimbatore airport, she complained with the authorities that the cash she had kept in her handbag was missing. The actress said that she had handed over the bag to an air hostess to keep it in the luggage hold and on checking found the cash inside missing.
An airport source said that she had noticed it missing only after leaving the airport premises.
According to sources in the Jet Airways, the company has decided not to look into the complaint as the cash might have gone missing at points other than the flight.
