Mumbai: A senior citizen died on board an Air India flight on Wednesday. The passenger identified as Krishnakant Verma, 71, was flying from Raipur to Mumbai on flight IC 169, and was accompanied by his son. “He was suffering from some respiratory ailment and had a ‘fit to fly’ certificate.
He was accompanied by his son when he collapsed on board the flight,” said the spokesperson of the national carrier. According to sources, Verma complained of uneasiness and breathlessness.
Doctors at the Mumbai airport declared Verma dead after the flight landed in the city at 5.30 pm.
