Gander, Newfoundland: Gander played host to a flight bound for New Delhi with several Canadian athletes and officials scheduled to compete at the Commonwealth Games. The Jet Airways flight left Toronto headed for Brussels, but diverted to Gander when a passenger became ill. The plane stayed in Gander for a little over two hours before resuming its journey. The passenger, who is not one of Canada's athletes, was taken off the plane by medical officials.
