New Delhi: Ending all speculation, Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel at a meeting with the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the Air India and the Central Industrial Security Force officials on Tuesday confirmed that Air India would shift its full-scale domestic operations to Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on November 11.
The airline will move to T3 on the midnight of November 10 and its first flight is expected to depart at 4.45 a.m.
Air India which was the first airline to shift some of its domestic operations to T3 on October 31 had been besieged with problems with delayed flights, problems in baggage handling and harried passengers. Hence, the meeting among the officials was held to take stock of preparedness of the airline and the airport operator.
