New Delhi: For passengers who may land up at Terminal 1A to board an Air India flight, the national carrier has made arrangements to transport them to Terminal 3, which is where the airline will operate from, now on. Air India will be plying a special taxi service to ferry passengers from Terminal 1A to Terminal 3.
The national carrier, which had been operating from Terminal 1A till now, is shifting all its operations to T3 from 1 am on Thursday.
The first flight to depart from the domestic section of Terminal 3 will be IC 867 to Goa, that will take off at 4.55am.
"We are informing passengers through SMS, email and every other way we can. Since there is not much time, a few passengers may still arrive at Terminal 1A," said an Air India spokesperson.
"For them, we have made arrangements for a free-of-cost cab service, that will take them to T3," the spokesperson added.
Air India and Go Air currently operate from Terminal 1A and both will be shifted to Terminal 1D.
The shift of domestic airlines to Terminal 3 has already been delayed thrice. However, notwithstanding issues like connectivity still being there, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to go ahead with the move on November 14.
