Air India may be hoping to improve its services after shifting to the newly constructed Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday. But it can’t do much to improve the last-mile drive to the new terminal. As the national carrier started its domestic operations from T3 on Thursday, the increased traffic load led to a huge jams on National Highway 8. The road leading to Terminal 3 originates from Mahipalpur intersection on NH-8. The jams on this road had a cascading effect on the highway, slowing down traffic till Dhaula Kuan in Delhi and the toll plaza on the Gurgaon border. The situation will get worse from November 14 when Jet Airways and Kingfisher too start operations from T3.
