Thiruvananthapuram: The Dammam-bound AI 915 flight of the national carrier took off at 6 p.m. Wednesday. But it returned to the airport 40 minutes later after the captain got a warning about a snag in the aircraft's doors.
Air India station manager K.D. Sivanath told IANS that officials of the Director General of Civil Aviation have arrived for inquiry. The A-330 aircraft had 82 passengers onboard, including two infants. It reportedly made a hard landing, due to which it was stuck in the runway for four hours. The airport remained closed during this interval.
