Ahmedabad: The unseasonal rains in Ahmedabad, caused due to cyclonic storm 'Jal', delayed more than 15 flights on Wednesday, including one international flight, officials at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, said. The flights were delayed due to the rains and poor visibility.
According to officials, more than 15 flights connecting Ahmedabad with various cities were delayed by 30 to 45 minutes because of the adverse weather conditions caused due to cloudy weather and rain.
Most of the flights delayed by the adverse weather conditions were domestic flights. International flights were by and large unaffected. The delayed flights belonged to Kingfisher Airlines, Jet Airways, Indigo Airlines and Goair. More than 15 flights were delayed due to the weather.
While a number of passengers were inconvenienced due to the flight delays, the one good thing was that no flight was cancelled.
