Pune: Stranded passengers at Lohegaon airport were relieved to find Union civil aviation minister Praful Patel also at the airport around 9 pm on Friday. The minister allegedly spoke with the passengers, telling them of the alternative arrangements being made by the authorities.
Airport director Deepak Shastri denied that the passengers had gheraoed the minister as had been reported on some TV news channels. He also added that there were no other flight disruptions at the airport on Friday night. Shastri said that after alternative arrangements were made by Air India, the flight took off for Delhi.
