Ranchi: Air connectivity of Ranchi with the national capital will get better soon. The largest civil aviation company, Air India, has agreed to resume morning flight after a gap of more than six years.
Although two flights operate between New Delhi and Ranchi—one of Air India and another of Jet Airways, frequent fliers have been demanding resumption of the morning flight service to made good use of the day. Presently, both the flights take off from Ranchi in the post-noon.
The Air India has decided to operationalise morning flight, which is likely to start from February 11, after Union Tourism Minister and Ranchi MP Subodh Kant met his Civil Aviation counterpart V Ravi in New Delhi and urged the need to have this in keeping with the likely gathering of spectators during the upcoming national games in Jharkhand.
Sahai, talking to the iGovernment, said that the morning flight service would continue even after the National Games. He has also urged Ravi to arrange another flight connecting New Delhi with the State capital in the evening.
