Derostered AI pilot Giare claims innocence

New Delhi: Derostered Air India pilot Arjun Giare claims all reports on television and newspapers about his certificates and licence being forged are false and baseless.
Giare, who was derostered by Air India on March 16, 2011 for allegedly submitting a forged class 10th marksheet to get his pilot licence, on Thursday sent an e-mail to media organisations saying he was innocent.
"I, Capt. Arjun Giare have done nothing wrong or illegal and I am in possession of all my TRUE and AUTHENTIC documents which I will show to a COMPETENT AUTHORITY when required for an inquiry. I AM NOT A FAKE PILOT, with fake documents as reported, and have every certificate to prove the same. No certificate of mine is FAKE, nor is my Indian CPL converted on the basis of an FAA license. In India, Director General of Civil Aviation is the competent Authority appointed by the government, they have issued all my licenses after scrutinising all my papers. The date of birth on my class 10 certificate was an error which was corrected by CBSE as per the order of the Honorable Delhi High Court in 2003," Giare said in the e-mail.
