Not just Wardha Rd, it'll be rush hour at airport too

Nagpur: It's a throwback to December 3, when BJP president Nitin Gadkari's son Nikhil got married and the who's who of the country descended on Orange City, crowding the airport with several unscheduled flights.
Saturday will be another busy day at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport for the second time in four months. Several big shots from the corporate, political and entertainment world are arriving in Nagpur to attend the high profile World Cup cricket tie between India and South Africa at Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) stadium at Jamtha on the outskirts of Nagpur on Saturday.
The airport will play host to over 40 aircraft out of which 26 will be non-scheduled chartered planes. This will include a Kingfisher ATR aircraft, special Jet Air Boeing-737 and three additional non-scheduled flights by GoAir, JetLite and Kingfisher airlines, besides the 13 scheduled flights that operate from here every day. The airport authorities had successfully handled additional traffic of 41 special aircraft for the Gadkari extravaganza.
It will be another challenge for the Mihan India Private Limited (MIPL), the operator company of Nagpur airport, to make proper parking arrangements and implement proper safety measures for aircraft of different makes like Gulf Stream, Citation, Cessna, Hawkers, King Air 350 and Challenger. The airplanes are owned by top companies including Reliance Industries, Bajaj Group etc. The flights will land here between 7am and 1pm in morning schedule and will take off for its respective destinations after 12 midnight to early morning of March 13.
