Human trafficking at Thiruvananthapuram airport: officials’ role unearthed

Thiruvananthapuram: Evidence of human trafficking in connivance with police officials has been found out at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. The proofs Manorama News channel got in this regard has revealed the involvement of a police officer in the rank of DYSP.
There were such allegations sometime before which had led to investigation into the issue by ADGP (Intelligence). Action was taken against two Circle Inspectors at that time.
How ever, evidences show that human trafficking continues undeterred even now. A note giving instruction to grant entry to a certain number of persons has been unearthed at the airport Wednesday. In the note, there were passport numbers of those who were supposed to be given safe passage at the airport.
