For travellers, Kingfisher is no more the king of good times

Mumbai : As flight cancellations of Kingfisher Airlines continued on Sunday, the initial angry response of fliers mellowed down. While many airline commuters suffered because of the cancellations, the heated reactions were not a part of the scene at the Chhatrapati Shivaji airport in Mumbai.
Sunday being the lean day for the frequent flying commuters, the airport witnessed lesser chaos.
Software professional Beena Kamath, who often comes to Mumbai from Bengaluru, said that she was aware about the Kingfisher cancellations and chose to book her air ticket on a different airline. "Many of my office colleagues have suffered due to the cancellation since our company has a tie up with Kingfisher airline. I learnt from their experience and did not opt for it," said Kamath. Similar voices were expressed by many other commuters who chose to stay away from the airline.
According to a spokesperson of the Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), as many as 9 to 10 flights were cancelled on Sunday.
