Pay more for Kingfisher flights

Ahmedabad: Except for a few lucky ones who have made advance bookings, others will soon have to pay more to fly by Kingfisher from Ahmedabad. Hit by financial turbulence, the airline has already announced the shutdown of Kingfisher Red in another three months. The airlines operates four flights from Ahmedabad - three to Mumbai, one to Delhi - all of which are Kingfisher Red.
But the few who have made advance bookings will be able to fly Kingfisher Class in the same cost. Airline officials said that they don't have the new tariffs but prices will be hiked by more than 50 per cent once the no-frills flight operations are stopped. Sources with the airlines said that it will take another three months for Kingfisher Red operations to shut here.
"Currently, Kingfisher Red operates two flights to Mumbai in the morning and one in the evening from Mumbai. With the increase in tariff, the airline might re-route one of the three flights to a new destination instead of scrapping it," the source added.
