Thiruvananthapuram: Air India's aircraft maintenance unit, set up in the new international terminal building of Thiruvananthapuram airport, will be inaugurated tomorrow, the flag carrier said here yesterday.
This Rs 70cr facility will do the day-to-day maintenance of Boeing 737-800 aircraft used by Air India Express and attend to two aircrafts at a time. Air India Express, the budget airline of the national carrier currently, has 21 aircraft at present.
