New Delhi: Clear days in the capital is likely to come to an end with the MeT office predicting formation of dense fog in the next two days. The second foggy spell has started over eastern parts of the northern plains from last night and may stay for two nights and also spread towards Delhi and Haryana, a senior MeT official said.
Delhi has so far remained unaffected with fog as the conditions have not been suitable for dense fog, the official said.
"Based on observations of satellite photographs and MeT station data of last 24 hours, plains of Bihar and most of Uttar Pradesh were found to be under dense cover of fog, visibility reducing below 100 metres, last night which stayed till this morning," RK Jenamani, Director, Airport MeT Department said.
Delhi airport also witnessed slight fog this morning and the runway visibility dipped to 600 metres but no flights were affected.
But chances are high that dense fog may form over IGI airport in the morning hours, between 0700-0900 hours.
