Airline refuses to fly ailing MLA

Patna: Ugly scenes were created at the city airport on Tuesday evening when an ailing JD (U) MLA from Maharajganj assembly constituency, Damodar Singh, was disallowed from boarding Go Air's G8-344 Patna-Delhi flight.
The airline staff refused to carry the ailing MLA even as he was issued a boarding pass. Doctors at PMCH had referred Singh to Delhi for better treatment. The MLA is suffering from diabetes and hypertension and is undergoing treatment at PMCH.
"A police complaint has been filed in this case. The patient was not allowed even when doctors had said that the patient was able to travel in a sitting position," Patna DM Sanjay Kumar Singh said.
