IGI cabbies get lessons on behaviour

New Delhi: Cab drivers at IGI Airport will soon be a better behaved lot. The airport management is conducting special workshops for drivers - of both radio cabs and regular taxis - and imparting lessons in safety, security, personal grooming and politeness.
A driver with a private cab company, Mohammed Anuddin, attended a session this week and said that the classes gave him and his colleagues an understanding of the specific needs of passengers at the airport. "This was like a refresher class. We were told how to behave with the passengers, be polite and open the door for them. We were also told that we should help out with the luggage, especially of women and senior citizens," he said.
