More Kingfisher flights hit, chaos likely to continue

New Delhi/Kolkata: The DGCA said Sunday it hadn’t been informed by Kingfisher Airlines in adv-ance about cancellations and largescale disruption of flights, as these wreaked havoc at airports across the country on Sunday. Scores of the airline’s flights were cancelled and delayed.
Kingfisher warned that the disruptions might continue for four days as irate passengers at Kolkata airport and elsewhere complained bitterly of being stranded due to last-minute cancellations on Sunday. On Sunday, Kingfisher did not operate at all from Kolkata, one of the worst-affected by the Kingfisher flight chaos after an agitation by the airline’s emplo-yees who said they had not got salaries on time.
Delhi airport too witnessed cancellations by Kingfisher, and several were reported from Mumbai and Bengaluru.
