Air India cabin crew call for pending dues

Mumbai: Air India flight attendants have claimed that while in the last two days, the airline has been paying its pilots their outstanding allowance and dues, but the cabin crew members have been overlooked. Air India Cabin Crew Association complained about the discrimination in a letter sent to the airline management on February 29, 2012.
“We should not be held responsible if the cabin crew express their inability to operate flights due to lack of money/resources to sustain themselves at all outstations as was done in the month of January 2012,” the letter said, as per a Times of India report.
The association demanded immediate payment of pending sustenance allowance for a period of two months as the pilots' dues for two months have been cleared.
