Mumbai: More turbulence in the aviation industry. If sources are to be believed, then India's largest airline carrier Jet Airways has earned the wrath of employees, as their salaries are being delayed by at least a couple of weeks.
"The salaries are getting held up by two to three weeks for the past few months. Though pilots and staff on lower slabs are being paid early in comparison to others, still there's a delay of about ten days there. Moreover, pilots have even demanded the management credit their salary on the fifth day of every month.
With reports of company cancelling flights, everyone, including me, are worried about our future," said a Jet insider. When contacted M Shivkumar, senior vice-president, finance, Jet Airways, said, "There is no delay in staff salaries. They are being credited on time."
