Embraer has received type certification from the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its Legacy 650 business jet, allowing its customers to register and operate the aircraft in the country.
This means that the entire Embraer business jet family has received certification in India, where 14 of the total fleet of around 140 corporate jets have been manufactured by the Brazilian airframer.
In another move to increase its presence in the country, Embraer has also created a spares repository for its fleet of business aircraft at the Air Works facility in Bengaluru. From there, the parts will be dispatched to the eight Embraer authorised service centres in India
