Air crash: 138 cases settled for Rs 98 cr

Mangalore: Twenty two months after the crash of Air India Boeing IX 812, which resulted in the death of 158 passengers, the legal counsel for Air India - Mulla & Mulla, Mumbai, has settled 138 cases, as on date.
Kapil Aseri, chief finance officer, Air India, said a total of 111 cases had been settled on full and final basis - 21 cases as per the judgment of division bench of Kerala high court and six cases partly - for an overall amount of Rs 98 crore. In the past three days of sitting, 13 claims were settled, 11 in full and final basis and three as per the judgment of Division bench of Kerala High Court. One more cases, which was partly settled earlier was settled on full and final basis.
