BCAS clearance for city airport restaurant?

Nagpur: Has the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), the regulatory authority for civil aviation security, cleared a two-storey restaurant a short distance from the terminal building of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport? At least Mihan India Limited (MIL) officials claim so.
VK Yadava, senior airport director and CEO of MIL, confirmed that a team of BCAS officials headed by regional deputy commissioner (civil aviation) JS Rana visited the city airport recently and inspected the restaurant being constructed, to verify objections raised by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials. The team in principal gave clearance to building, saying it has no issues with passenger safety and airport security.
"Though the BCAS team has not sent an official report or communication in this regard to MIL or CISF, the team members were of the view that there is no security threat to passengers or airport building from the restaurant," Yadava said. The inspection team also suggested some modification in the restaurant tower facing the ATC, which direction was fulfilled by the restaurant operator, he added.
