Ahmedabad: The SVPI airport in Ahmedabad has come up with a slew of measures to up its security and improve its functioning. This includes setting up a new ATC tower, acquiring a dog squad, purchase of two new radars for the airport.
The new ATC tower will be constructed between the domestic terminal building and the existing ATC tower. The 12-storeyed structure will be 45 metres high and is estimated to cost Rs40 crore. Airport officials said that the new tower with state-of-the art facilities will assist in improved navigation of aircraft.
