Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has become the first company in India to be certified as ‘green’ by the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Green Build Council.
It has received a GreenCo Silver rating, and is confident that the ranking will help it “define a path forward to ecologically sustainable business growth”.
“BIAL has once again demonstrated its passion and commitment towards fostering and promoting ecological sustainability in Indian industry,” enthused S Raghupathy, executive director of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Godrej Green Business Centre.
