Govt to fortify anti-hijacking measures

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Government is likely to increase the number of security personnel at the Jammu and Srinagar Airports by strengthening the two anti-hijacking wings of the state police.
Highly placed sources in the state Government told Greater Kashmir that the proposal to increase the security of the two Airports will be discussed in the Cabinet meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday. “The Home Department has moved the proposal and is expected to get the Cabinet nod,” a senior minister in the state Government said adding, “The department is contemplating to enhance the strength of the anti-hijacking wings in the twin capital cities.”
