Air India not to reinstate sacked pilots?

New Delhi: National carrier Air India has reportedly withdrawn its proposal of reinstating 101 sacked pilots from the Delhi High Court.
The sacked pilots belong to the Indian Pilots' Guild (IPG).
The Air India management made the move on Wednesday after the IPG sought amendments and asked for including a retired judge in the management committee that was formed to deal with the issue of reinstating sacked pilots.
Air India's counsel Lalit Bhasin said: “I am also withdrawing the proposal and let the (civil) suit continue."
“We have already constituted a high-powered committee consisting of two board-level directors and one executive director to look into the cases based on appeals received from the said former pilots. No one from outside would be allowed as it is our internal matter," said Bhasin.
