Rumblings back at AI

New Delhi: The deadlock over the reinstatement of 101 sacked pilots of Air India showed no signs of ending with the management today toughening its stand in the Delhi high court by dropping its proposal to sympathetically consider the issue after the pilots put fresh conditions.
The management had assured the high court that it would sympathetically consider the reinstatement of sacked pilots who withdrew their 58 day-old strike on July 3.
During the proceedings today, Lalit Bhasin, counsel for the management, said the new conditions placed by the pilots, such as the inclusion of a retired judge in a committee formed to deal with reinstatement, was not acceptable.
