Mumbai: Over 200 pilots of the debt-ridden Kingfisher Airlines on a flash strike since Sunday evening over the non-payment of their dues, have taken their protest to the Mumbai airport, after talks with the management failed on Monday evening.
“We wanted at least two months of salary by today. With the management reluctant to promise us anything on the issue, we have no other way, but protest, to make ourselves heard,” says Yateen Pandit, a Kingfisher pilot.
The pilots struck work after they not being paid salaries and other dues for the past five months. Though sources said at least four flight originating from Mumbai have been cancelled due to their unavailability, the strikingpilots maintained that no flights were affected.
