Man nabbed 13 years later for forging passport

Ahmedabad: Immigration officials at Ahmedabad international airport captured an elderly man, who landed in India without a passport. Investigation revealed that Gopal Prajapati, 61, had gone to United Kingdom (UK) on a bogus passport and stayed there for 13 years before coming back to India.
According to Sardarnagar police, Prajapati returned from UK on Friday night at 9:30pm. When the immigration officials asked for his passport and purpose of visit, Prajapati claimed that he lost his passport in UK. According to Prajapati, his father was severely ill, so he had come to the city to meet him. Prajapati also showed a certificate of emergency to the immigration officials.
