New Kerala airport at Aranmula approved

Kerala's Pathanamthitta district has been given the final approval by the steering committee on greenfield airports, sources in the airport company said.
They said the meeting held in Delhi today, attended by secretaries of various central departments related to the approval, had given the green signal for the proposed KGS Aranmula International Airport in Pathanamthitta district. KGS airport managing director Gigi George and executive director PT Nandakumar said the company proposed to make the airport operational by end 2014.
