Pune IAF base refers glider flights to Intelligence

Pune: The Pune airforce base said on Friday that it had referred an incident of two unidentified powered gliders flying over the airport on June 29 and June 30 to the Intelligence Bureau and the local police.

"On June 29 at 1757 hours, a GoAir 367 aircraft while landing at Pune airport reported spotting a powered glider. Again, on June 30 at about 0745 hours, a white glider was spotted south of Pune airfield at approximately 200 degrees, at two to three nautical miles, at 1000 feet above ground level," a release issued by the Pune Indian Airforce (IAF) base said.
