BIAL is free of plastic bags

Bangalore: The Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) has become more environment friendly as it started using eco-friendly cloth or paper bags instead of plastic bags from Monday.
All food, beverage and retail outlets on the 4,000-acre airport premises now offer cloth or paper bags instead of
plastic bags. This will lead to reduction of about 35,000 plastic bags every month, catering to the retail across 500 categories and 5,000 brands. Also, 5 lakh plastic bags will be saved annually.
