Nigeria lifts flying ban on Dana Air

Abuja: Nigerian civil aviation authorities have lifted the flying ban on Dana Air, an Indian-owned commercial passenger carrier, whose licence was cancelled after a flight operated by it crashed in Lagos three months ago, killing more than 160 people.
A spokesman for the Nigeria’s Aviation Ministry in a brief statement said the Ministry is satisfied with the air worthiness of the airline which crashed into a building in a highly populated area of south-western state of Lagos on its way from the country’s capital city Abuja.
On June 3, a Dana MD-83 aircraft had crashed while flying from Abuja to Lagos.
