Rs800 crore budget for new Pune airport

The state would provide a budgetary allocation of Rs600 crore for the proposed airport at Rajgurunagar, and would also seek Rs200 crore through supplementary demands in the winter session of the Assembly. Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday held a meeting for the same.
District collector Vikas Deshmukh informed on Wednesday, “Land acquisition would be made through Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, and the farmers would be duly compensated.
