Left MPs demand withdrawal of cases slapped on passengers

Thiruvananthapuram: Two Left MPs today sought immediate intervention of union ministers from the state to withdraw cases slapped on six passengers in connection with the alleged hijack alarm incident involving an Air India flight at the airport here.
The MPs said Defence Minister A K Antony and Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi should intervene in the issue to put an end to the 'continuous ill-treatment' of Non-Resident Keralities by Air India.
M P Achuthan (CPI) and K Sampath (CPI-M) also wanted stern action against CISF personnel who allegedly manhandled passengers when the flight landed at the airport.
