Rajiv Gandhi International Airport recognised for carbon emission reduction

Mangalore:  GMR group's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad got another feather in the cap as the airport received accreditation for its efforts in managing and reducing carbon emissions in the Asia-Pacific region.
A global body of airports, Airport Council International (ACI), has accredited the RGI airport at Level 2 - 'Reduction' under the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme.
The Airport Carbon Accreditation Certification is presented to the airport on Friday at Novotel Airport Hotel, RGIA during the Eighth ACI Asia-Pacific Small Airport seminar organized by ACI Asia-Pacific.
Airport Carbon Accreditation is the European standard for carbon management and emission reductions at airports.
