The 34-year-old who was arrested last month on charges of taking pictures of Union Finance Minister P.Chidambaram at the Chennai Airport has been granted bail.
Amir, a native of Ernakulam, Kerala, had taken pictures of Mr. Chidambaram in the portico of Chennai Airport as the latter was about to board an Air India flight to New Delhi. He was remanded at the Puzhal Prison and his relatives had recently moved the Chengalpattu District Sessions Court for bail.
The Court said it had no objection provided that the jurisdiction court where the reported offence had taken place, did not object.
