Surat: Residents in the diamond city need no longer travel nine hours by road to reach the union territory of Diu. The Deccan Charters Limited (DCL) has started shuttle service between Surat and Diu from Wednesday. No official announcement was made by the DCL about the shuttle service between Surat and Diu, but the first flight to Diu was flagged off from Surat airport on Wednesday morning.
The DCL has been operating Surat-Bhavnagar-Surat flight service for the past few months. The Surat-Diu-Surat service is the latest addition.
