New Delhi: New Delhi: Over five years after the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines, the airline has kicked off human resource integration and aims to complete it by the end of December. As part of the integration, around 4,000 employees from both the erstwhile carriers are being awarded performa promotions.
“As part of the performa promotions, the employees will get promotions from the date their promotions are due but the monetary benefits will not be in retrospective. Of the 4,000 employees getting promotions, 60 per cent are from the erstwhile Indian Airlines and the rest from erstwhile Air India,” said a senior civil aviation ministry official.
Post the promotions, the airline will be able to integrate 20,000 non-licenced category employees and the rest 6,000 licenced will be integrated after the Union Cabinet clears the allowances of that category.
