Kollam: The heli-taxi service, which started here on Friday, has turned out to be an instant hit with the city dwellers.
The service, aimed at promoting air-tourism, was started by the district tourism promotional council (DTPC) in association with Bobby Chemmannoor Airlines.
Jaipaul AP, deputy general manager of the airlines said that 25 trips were made over the last two days and was expecting more from Sunday onwards.
"Lots of people booked for the flight," he said. While families formed most of the clientele, groups of youngsters, too, have been availing the service for a bird's eye view of the city.
