MIAL too wants 24x7 eateries

Mumbai: If Mumbai International Airport Limited’s plan materialises, you will not stay hungry while waiting for a flight at night. A proposal has been sent to allow restaurants and bars outside the airport to remain open 24x7.
The MIAL’s proposal comes days after the state government announced plans to let eateries and hotels near major railway stations such as CST, Dadar, Churchgate, Kurla, Bandra, Andheri, remain open round the clock.
The government’s contention is that it will help commuters who miss their last trains or those who work night shifts. The proposal has been sent to all authorities concerned for their approval.
“Lots of passengers waiting at the airport are inconvenienced after restaurants shut. So, we have sent a proposal to allow eateries to remain open round the clock,” said a Mumbai airport spokesperson.
