Mumbai: An Air Traffic Control (ATC) official was de-rostered from duty on Saturday after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) initiated an inquiry into an incident on December 30 when he had given take-off clearance to an aircraft even as another aircraft was about to land. The arriving flight had to make a go-around.
The incident occurred on December 30, when an Indigo flight to Singapore and a Jet airways flight to Delhi were taxing towards the runway. The Jet airways flight was on Taxiway N9 and Indigo flight on Taxiway Lima, while another aircraft was asked to hold.
