Appeal against airport parking fine

Mumbai:  Owners of private and charter aircraft who fail to vacate their parking slot on time are penalized by the city airport operator and so far the airport has collected Rs 4 crore in fines. The Business Aircraft Operator's Association (BAOA), an organization of private and chartered aircraft owners of India that has been fighting the city airport operator's decision to penalize aircraft owners on this count, said on Monday that it had received yet another positive response from the regulator concerning its battle against the fee.
The penalty, approved by the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA), was challenged by BAOA in AERA's appellate tribunal.
