Panaji: The farmers affected by land acquisition for the Mopa airport accused the government and politicians of land grab under the pretext of the airport project.
Addressing mediapersons, Sandeep Kambli, secretary of the Mopa Vimantall Piditt Xetkari Samiti (MVPXS), said that the government is "brushing aside our andolan and making moves to counter our efforts".
Claiming that the land that has already been acquired by the government has been acquired illegally, Kambli said, "We are opposed to selling our land, which is our mother."
