Nagpur: An Air Arabia (AAI) flight made an emergency landing at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur due to medical reasons. A female passenger fell unconscious on board the AA flight due to which the plane had to be redirected to Nagpur.
The Air Arabia aircraft was heading towards Sharjah from Dhaka on Monday night when it was forced to alter its course and land in the city airport. All the emergency services were immediately pushed into service to make arrangements for the landing.
TOI got the news of the emergency landing before it happened. A source informed that announcements for fire tenders and ambulances were made at the airport. The airline officials were unavailable for comment as for the reason or extent of the emergency.
