Nagpur: The second phase of the preparation to make Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport Nagpur an ISO 27000 one is set to begin on January 10. Nagpur airport is currently a 9001-2000 certified airport and now Airports Authority of India has taken up the task to improve upon the certification.
"No other airport in the country is an ISO 27000 certified one. When we complete all the phases we will be the first airport to have ISO 27000 Information Security Management System," said AK Verma, airport director.
The first phase of the programme included training of internal auditors. For the second phase, consultants from Ahmedabad will be coming over to Nagpur to guide the process for documentation and preparing manuals for certification.
