Indore: As many as 119 passengers on board the Mumbai-Indore, Jet Airways flight 9W 2583 had a miraculous escape after the plane skidded off the runway at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport on Friday night. The incident occurred at about 10pm disrupting operations of five flights at the airport for nearly one hour.
The pilot managed to take control of the aircraft and averted a crash after its hydraulic brakes had reportedly failed. The shocked passengers thanked their stars as they alighted from the aircraft. A flight from Ahmedabad to Indore hovered around for 40 minutes in the city and was later diverted to Bhopal.
